Mother's Day 2006

My first Mother's Day with two beautiful children!
For the occasion, the kid next door had a huge tantrum at 4 am (what a lovely present for his mother) waking me up. Whilst this happens on a fairly regular basis, this time the noise was so loud and protracted that I threw back our makeshift curtains and made rude faces out the window (I am directly opposite and can see into this recalcitrant toddler's bedroom). Not long afterwards, V woke up. She was ready to start the day at 5:45am. I wasn't.
My poor little A woke up a little later out-of-sorts due to a cold and definitely in no mood to get his 2 presents which he had made at both Little and Big Kindy. Things were looking grim but luckily this all settled after a big bowl of steaming porridge.
There were 3 lovely gifts - from A, I received a laminated handprint with a little poem and a shopping bag decorated with another handprint (now I know why A has been coming home from both kindys with purple hands) - these simple gifts with a personal touch will be something to cherish forever! From Daddy, I got a much needed cookbook full of culinary delights. He said it would come in handy for Father's Day! A gift with an ulterior motive - I knew it!
Whilst T's study commitments precluded a family outing today, it turned out to be a nice relaxing day anyway. And the Little People were well-behaved - bonus!!

There will be a pic for this post once I get a new battery for the camera.
