July

My, it really has been while since my last entry...

To recap on the last several weeks:

Urology Dept End of Term Party at Moorooka Bowls Club - a very King Gee stubbies-and-thongs venue. Spent night wrestling V who didn't want to go in the first place. Major highlight was A's completely impromptu rendition of "Morningtown Train" (rock-in', roll-in', rid-in', out a-long the bay, all bound for Mor-ning-town, ma-ny miles a-way). Thought he was mucking around with other kids but virtually fell of my seat when I heard his voice and saw him out the front, singing the old Seekers folk classic. Rousing applause. Stunned mullet parents.

Racecourse Road Street Fair - helped out at Little Kindy's fundraising stall with facepainting. Lots of requests for butterflies, puppies, Batmen - no Sistine Chapels, thankfully.

S
pringbrook National Park - not good. Little People could not appreciate the delights of bushwalking. Relegated to boardwalks and other easy access tracks. Very boring. Lots of complaints. Unfortunately, may have to give Lamington NP and Canaervon Gorge a miss. Bummer.

Fundraising Wine and Cheese Night at Little Kindy - first official gig for Anne and myself. Raging success despite prehistoric piano almost a semi-tone out of tune. Lots of fun. Now available for weddings, parties, anything.
Won the lucky door prize (huge fruit hamper). Artwork for sale by obscure artists.
